That was perfect because the cab line was crazy long and the Limo ride was only $40 vs. $20 or so for a cab. Jill and I got in the Limo first, followed by Samantha, Lisa and Louie. By the time I left the hospital a couple of days later, I had on a neck brace, a bandage on my nose, my right arm in a sling and my left arm in a cast.  Over the next six weeks, I couldn't run so I rode a stationary bike for hours every day.  At the same time, I was eating less and less.  I had converted myself over to an entirely liquid and vegetarian diet.  I had become obsessed with not gaining any weight as I knew it would destroy my chances of running well in The Boston Marathon.
